University ministry and voluntary student unionism

In today's Sydney Morning Herald there was a feature article on various religious groups at the University of Sydney. Of particular interest to the article, of course, is the largest of those groups, the Sydney University Evangelical Union. And here's the quotable quote from presumably a staff worker:

It's a strange environment here because the EU virtually own this campus.

I would make the reasonable assumption that like Campus Bible Study at University of New South Wales, it is the largest voluntary group of students at the university. And with the advent of voluntary student unionism legislation, it might just ending being the largest group of students at the university.

Now that's an interesting concept.
