Surely this is a sign that we may now be in a property bubble.

One that caught my eye is this one, featuring the Qantas Club.

I have been to the Qantas Club a few times, courtesy of my employer. What I am wondering is at what times of the day/week/year, or at which airport(s), is the Qantas Club as serene as the one depicted.

I wonder what sort of commodities you can get from this store? Gold? Iron ore?

One of the items available from the Value Picks is the Deluxe Cheeseburger, which retails for $1.95. It would appear that the Deluxe Cheeseburger is deluxe because it contains lettuce and a mayonnaise dressing. The regular Cheeseburger, which does not contain lettuce, but has a tomato-based dressing, retails for a bit higher.

This is confusing to me—-it looks like the Deluxe Cheeseburger costs more than a regular Cheeseburger. If this occurs in the financial markets, then there would be fascinating arbitrage opportunities.

I am wondering whether the recent signing of the Trans-Tasman Court Proceedings and Regulatory Enforcement Agreement was a motivating factor for the settlement. Once ratified, the agreement will allow certain civil judgments in one jurisdiction to be enforced in the other.

Given Mr Williams’ stated desire to play for the All Blacks, which will require him to enter New Zealand from time to time, having an adverse judgment from the Supreme Court of New South Wales possibly being enforced in New Zealand may prove very inconvenient.

Then again, I may be methodologically mad.

I was going home after working relatively late one night, and I felt a little bit peckish. Thankfully the newsagent is still open, and so shunning the unhealthy chocolate bars, I went for something healthier, a “Nut Delight” bar from So Natural:

The wrapping looks enticing, with all the right words—-natural, high in fibre, etc. But I was curious regarding the nut and honey content:

Where did that 15% go?

That prompted me to turn to the other side. Sadly the wrapper is a bit fiddly so it is difficult to get a good shot.

You probably don’t want to know what’s in the other 15%.

But more curiously, there is an ominous warning, clearly directed to allergy sufferers, that the product may contain peanuts, other nuts, seasame seeds and other seeds. But it’s a nut bar!

May be I’m nuts.
