Pronunciation of Jephthah
I don’t ask this very often, but I am stumped. Does anyone know the generally accepted English pronunciation of Jephthah, one of the judges of Israel? I am currently thinking jef-tah, but I can’t be sure? Bible scholars? Speech pathologists? Please help!
