Sport and climate

I know this is late, but I did not have much time.

Last month, Prime Minister John Howard addressed the Canadian Parliament. In his speech, he made a particularly interesting remark:

We have much in common but not as much to do with each other as we should. We have even followed different sporting paths. For reasons that have always escaped my comprehension and understanding, Canadians never embraced cricket. And ice hockey is not widely played in Australia.

Perhaps Canada is too cold for cricket for most of the year, and Australia too warm for ice hockey.
